+ Why a circle?

For mobile phone enthusiasts who would like to explore beyond the status quo. Research shows that people prefer rounded objects, and that images and videos look even better when cropped into a round format. (You may have noticed that your social media profile picture has migrated from a square to being cropped into a circle in the last four years, to become more “eye-catching”).

+ Do you ship worldwide? If so, how much is shipping?

We ship to most places in the world except for China, Russia, Venezuela, and Brazil. Shipping within the USA is $50, outside of USA is $150.

+ When should I expect to receive my phone?

Within 1 year of the end of our pre-sales campaign. Most of our crowdfunded competitors deliver about 2 years later (if they deliver at all) so we are faster. Also, please keep in mind that for our last crowdfunded campaign we were able to ship 5 months earlier than promised.

+ Can I use any cellular carrier?

Yes. The Cyrcle Phone 4G is an unlocked phone, and our radio module is pre-certified for all cellular carriers in the USA and the most common cellular carriers around the world.

+ What colors are available?

Currently "tuxedo", which is a white enclosure with a black front. For every 1,000 orders placed, we will be able to add additional colors. (Blue is next on our list, as it was chosen by our previous backers). Further, we open source the 3D print files on our Github, so you can 3D print (and even modify) those yourself in any color or material you prefer. If you don't have a 3D printer yourself, you can upload the STL files from our Github site to a place like www.FathomMfg.com, www.Hubs.com, www.Shapeways.com, etc. and have them print it for you.

+ What are the main features of the phone?

The Cyrcle Phone 4G LTE with Android 10 is a "non-rectangular smartphone" with F-droid app store, temperature sensor, NFC touchless payment, dual audio jack, dual USB, 13MP selfie and rear camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and an open-source enclosure. It has everything you would expect from a rectangular Android mobile phone.

+ How much is The Cyrcle Phone?

The retail price is $999 but you can get it for only $699 during our Kickstarter campaign. Feel free to send us a message using our CONTACT form for more info.

+ How do I know if the apps that I want to download will work on the phone?

If you can find an APK for your application, you can install it on The Cyrcle Phone. Although we have not tested every single application in the world, we have not yet found a single application which does not work.

+ I like protecting my phone with a case. Will you be providing cases/screen protectors that fit its circular nature?

Currently there are many liquid screen protectors available on the market which you can apply to add further screen protection. We have not spent a lot of time investing in case protectors since you can easily 3D print a new enclosure for The Cyrcle Phone (from compostable corn-based PLA, or more rugged recycled-TPU) and compost your previous one. When you think about it, doesn't it seem a little ridiculous that most smartphones have an environmentally unfriendly enclosure, upon which most slap on an equally environmentally unfriendly case? Let's end this madness together!

+ Does the phone come with any accessories? Headphones/Chargers/etc?

This depends on how many orders we receive. For every 1,000 orders we are able to add one more accessory to the box. Please help spread the word!

+ Does the phone come with a warranty?

We will be able to offer a warranty if we receive over 50,000 orders. In the meantime, most of our files are open source and available on our Github, so you do have the option of fixing the phone yourself. We are huge enthusiasts of "The Right to Repair" movement, and consequently have tried to make this version of The Cyrcle Phone as easy to repair by yourself as possible.
